Error 1004: Sign up and log in to generate images. (guest_require_login)

This article explains error code 1004 (guest_require_login), when it appears in the Tryon widget, and what to do.

The widget displays this message to the customer: "Error 1004: Sign up and log in to generate images."

How to resolve this error

This error appears when an anonymous visitor tries to generate a photo, but the Guest Customers toggle is off. Only registered (logged-in) customers are allowed.

For end customers: sign up or log in to your account on the store to continue.

For store administrators: if you want to allow anonymous visitors, enable Guest Customers in Settings → Photo Limits.
