This article explains error code 1008 (already_generated), when it appears in the Tryon widget, and what it means.
The widget may display this message: "Error 1008: A photo has already been generated for this request."
How to resolve this error
This is not really an error — it is an informational response. Tryon recognized the request as a repeat generation for the same customer and product combination, and returned (or attempted to return) the previously generated photo without consuming an additional Image Credit.
No action is required. If the customer wants to generate a new photo for the same product, the store administrator can enable Allow regeneration in Settings → Photo Limits.
Difference between 1007 and 1008
Error 1007 (regenerate_blocked): regeneration is off and the cached photo is intentionally not returned.
Error 1008 (already_generated): the cached photo was recognized and returned (or the request was deduplicated server-side).
